Its now 2 weeks till fair. I have to get my quilt finished and make sure Clover is ready to go. I worked with Clover today but she was being so stubborn. She wanted to go play with our mini pig Lily, but I told her we needed to practice. I also worked on my quilt yesterday and my sewing machine was not working good. It kept knotting up on me but I think I got a lot down. I still have a lot of work to get down in the next two weeks though.
Natalie is a ten year girl who is currently in 4th grade. She took an interest in sewing about 2 years ago and starting working with her Nana and mother. Natalie really began sewing by making simple Christmas gifts for her family with her Nana’s guidance. Natalie and her Nana made matching aprons for Natalie and her mom. Natalie took a sewing class last year for kids where she made a pillow case, drawstring bag, and cosmetic bag with a zipper. She then went on to make a quilt for State Fair where she won 1st place.
Natalie’s loves to sew with her mom and Nana, draw, paint and be with her animals. She is also working on showing a lamb at county fair. Natalie has 3 dogs, 1 pig, and 2 goats. She loves to jump on the trampoline and be with her friends.
We will follow Natalie on her journey with her county fair quilt and lamb……..
I sat down and worked on my quilt for fair. I really wanted to play but my mom keeps telling me I am running out of time. So I messed up on my first row so I am having to redo it. I really like the fabric I picked out. I just hope it comes together now.
Natalie is the youngest of our Genesis Quilting generations. She has made several quilts and is working on one now for county fair. She will document as she goes through her journey of making her quilt and sending it off to fair.
Today I was lucky enough to have someone older then me and with more experience then me to come over. We worked with Clover for a little while. Clover was perfect for her and did whatever she asked but as soon as I would take over she would start fighting me. It was easier to work with Liana, my friend, though today because she knows so much about lambs. I hope she can come back and help again. My mom keeps telling me I need to get back to work on my quilt which I know I need to. I like being able to sit and sew with my mom and cousin. We have fun hanging out making our quilts. So my question tonight I guess is, is Clover more stubborn or am I?
